Secret Suburban Singletrack

Working in Croydon might lack the glamour of working in central London, (not that you become a mountain bike journalist for the glamour or to work in a swanky office), but what the town centre lacks in charm it almost makes up for with secret suburban singletrack. It's not amazing by any means but for a blast after work on the singlespeed, it's perfect. You wont find trails like these between central London and where I live in Dulwich either.

My commute to work could be 6miles, all road and relatively flat, about ~30mins riding with traffic.

Thanks to urban trails my commute most mornings is actually 15/20miles hilly off-road, and takes anything up to 2hrs depending on how much mud there is.

Nobody in my office can understand why I take the off-road route when I could get there so much quicker on the road.
(Mind you they can't understand why I ride when I have a car)
